Alaska Airlines names CFO Shane Tackett as president
Alaska Airlines announced the promotion of Shane Tackett to President and Chief Financial Officer of Alaska Airlines, effective June 29, 2026. Tackett, who has served as CFO since 2020, will retain oversight of finance, fleet management, investor relations, supply chain, internal audit and information technology, while also taking on the commercial organization, previously the sole domain of Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Harrison.
Tackett has been with Alaska for more than 25 years, holding roles across financial planning, labor relations, revenue management, e-commerce and strategy. He will report to Ben Minicucci, CEO and President of Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK) and CEO of Alaska Airlines, and will continue to serve on the company's Executive Committee.
"Shane's promotion to president of Alaska Airlines marks an important step as we continue investing in leadership capacity to execute our global ambitions and integrate Hawaiian Airlines," Minicucci said.
Tackett played a role in the acquisition and integration of Hawaiian Airlines and has been involved in Alaska Accelerate, the company's plan for earnings growth. "As President and Chief Financial Officer, I'm excited to help lead even more of this organization as we continue executing Alaska Accelerate, growing our global relevance and delivering for our guests, employees and owners," Tackett said.
The announcement follows a series of leadership changes at Alaska Air Group, including the appointment of Diana Birkett Rakow as CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, Andy Schneider as CEO and President of Horizon Air, Jason Berry as Chief Operating Officer, Kyle Levine as EVP of Corporate and Public Affairs and Chief Legal Officer, and Lindsay-Rae McIntyre as Chief People Officer.
