Sterling Metals Corp. (TSXV: SAG)(OTCQB: SAGGF) reported assay results from the first six holes of its 2026 drilling program at the Soo Copper Project near Batchewana Bay, Ontario, according to a company press release.

The results include three notable near-surface intervals: 503.9 metres of 0.26% copper equivalent from 3.1 metres depth in hole SC-26-04; 289.5 metres of 0.26% copper equivalent from 3.5 metres depth in SC-26-05; and 214.5 metres of 0.29% copper equivalent from 3.0 metres depth in SC-26-06, with a higher-grade sub-interval of 10.5 metres grading 1.01% copper equivalent from 207 metres depth.

Drilling confirmed a copper-bearing, multi-phase porphyry stock across a 1.4-kilometre corridor. A mineralized porphyry stock was intersected at two separate locations — beneath the MEPS Discovery zone and approximately one kilometre to the east — and a new higher-grade molybdenum zone was identified at depth.

During trail construction approximately 1.2 kilometres west of the MEPS Discovery, the company reported a new surface copper mineralization occurrence covering an area of approximately 25 metres by 5 metres, consisting of quartz-sulphide breccia with chalcopyrite, bornite, and pyrite.

Sterling has completed approximately 12,000 metres across 22 holes in 2026 as part of a minimum 20,000-metre campaign. Drilling is continuing, with the rig currently testing a target approximately one kilometre northeast of the MEPS Discovery.
