SC expands Calix partnership to deploy agentic AI platform

June 16, 2026 1:30 PM

Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) announced that SC, a telecommunications provider formerly known as SCTelcom, is expanding its partnership with Calix to deploy the Calix Agent Workforce Cloud on the Calix One platform.

SC has served rural Kansas and Oklahoma communities since 1953 and has maintained a partnership with Calix for more than 20 years. The company offers managed services across residential, business, and community markets, including outdoor Wi-Fi, small business connectivity, and community-wide broadband.

According to the press release, SC reported a Net Promoter Score of 90, up from 79 over two years, zero call center churn with 100% support staff retention, a full return on its cloud investment within four months, and a 3% increase in average revenue per user over six months.

The expanded deployment will use agentic-driven workflows intended to support subscriber engagement, segmentation, and operational efficiency. SC leadership is also working with Calix Success services and using the Calix AI Leadership Playbook to guide adoption of the new capabilities.

Carla Shearer, chief executive officer and general manager at SC, said the Calix platform allows the company to "spend less time on friction and more time where it matters most: strengthening subscriber relationships and delivering faster, more personalized engagement."

Michael Weening, president and chief executive officer at Calix, said the company has "deliberately invested to evolve our platform so AI works natively within provider workflows—securely and at scale" since November 2023.

Calix states that more than 1,200 customers use the Calix One platform, which has been developed over 15 years at a total investment of more than $2 billion.
