BIOAFFINITY, Philips and 4DMEDICAL to host veteran lung health webinar
bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIAF; BIAFW), along with Philips and 4DMedical, will host an educational webinar on July 21, 2026, focused on lung health screening and early detection for veterans at increased risk for lung cancer and other respiratory diseases.
The National Association of Veterans' Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF) will host the event, scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. NAVREF Chief Executive Officer Rashi Romanoff will moderate the session.
The webinar will cover lung cancer risk among veterans, the role of imaging in lung health assessment, noninvasive diagnostic approaches, and strategies to improve patient access to screening and follow-up care. Topics will also include considerations related to toxic exposures recognized under the PACT Act.
Panelists include Amy Rohs, MD, a Physician Clinical Champion with Philips; Michael Nicholson, DO, a pulmonary specialist at RWJBarnabas Health who will discuss clinical experience with bioAffinity's CyPath® Lung test; and Greg Mogel, MD, Chief Medical Officer of 4DMedical and a U.S. Army veteran.
CyPath® Lung is a noninvasive test that uses flow cytometry and artificial intelligence to analyze cell populations in patient sputum. According to a published clinical trial, the test demonstrated 92% sensitivity, 87% specificity, 88% accuracy, and a 99% negative predictive value in detecting lung cancer among high-risk patients with small indeterminate lung nodules under 20 millimeters. The test is marketed as a Laboratory Developed Test under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments oversight.
The webinar is intended for healthcare professionals in pulmonary medicine, oncology, radiology, primary care, and veteran health services, according to a press release from bioAffinity Technologies.
