Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC) received a task order valued at approximately $651.8 million from the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific for Project P-1181, which involves hardening critical electrical feeders on Naval Base Guam.

The project aims to replace existing overhead electrical distribution feeders with underground circuit conductors within concrete-encased duct banks to improve electrical system resiliency and reliability for facilities on the naval base. The work will be executed through a joint venture between Tutor Perini and its Guam-based subsidiary, Black Construction Corporation.

The contract was awarded under NAVFAC Pacific's Facilities and Infrastructure Multiple Award Construction Contract. Design work is scheduled to begin in August 2026, with construction starting in April 2027. The company expects substantial completion by June 2031.

"This new award represents our latest major project in Guam, and we are continuing to pursue various other significant opportunities there and throughout the Indo-Pacific region," said Gary Smalley, Tutor Perini's CEO and President. "We are pleased to continue supporting the U.S. government's infrastructure priorities, including those under the Pacific Deterrence Initiative."

The task order value will be included in the company's backlog for the second quarter of 2026. Tutor Perini describes itself as a civil, building and specialty construction company that provides general contracting and design-build services to private customers and public agencies.
