Wix integrates headless backend with Stripe Projects CLI

June 10, 2026 11:23 AM

Wix.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: WIX) announced it has become a provider in Stripe Projects, allowing developers to provision Wix Headless business backend services directly through the Stripe Projects command-line interface.

The integration enables developers to set up a complete business backend including commerce, bookings, content management system, customer relationship management, events and memberships through a single workflow. Users can provision these services using the same command-line process they use for other stack components.

Through Stripe Projects CLI, developers can access the infrastructure that powers Wix's existing business operations. The setup includes payments, inventory management, scheduling and content management systems with an integrated dashboard. Resources remain within users' own Wix accounts.

"Being a provider means that when someone spins up their next project, they can have a complete Wix business backend ready to build on, without ever leaving their terminal," said Shahar Talmi, GM of Developer Platform at Wix.

Wix served as a co-design and launch partner in the Stripe Projects developer preview, contributing to the integration's credential scoping and account handling processes. The company designed the system to work consistently whether operated by developers or automated agents.

To access the integration, developers install the Stripe CLI and run specific commands to initialize projects and add Wix Headless services. The feature is currently in developer preview as Wix seeks feedback from development teams.

The integration aims to reduce configuration requirements and eliminate the need for multiple vendor integrations when building business applications. Wix founded in 2006 and recently acquired Base44, a no-code application platform.
