June 10, 2026 5:56 AM

Lantronix Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRX) announced a collaboration with Cherry & White, a UK-based provider of Wi-Fi solutions, to launch a connectivity platform for critical infrastructure deployment.

The platform combines Lantronix's NTC-552 ruggedized industrial 5G gateway with Cherry & White's Rapid Wi-Fi technology. The system can deliver connectivity speeds up to 70 times faster than legacy solutions and becomes operational within minutes of arrival on site, according to the company's press release.

The platform offers two deployment configurations: a vehicle connectivity solution installed on fleet and response vehicles, and a portable solution housed in a ruggedized hard case. Both configurations feature 5G NR Release 16 SA/NSA with automatic LTE/4G failover, Wi-Fi 6, 2.5Gbps WAN throughput, and centralized remote management via Lantronix's Percepxion platform.

The system is designed for utilities, industrial facilities, defense installations and emergency services operating in remote or challenging environments. It supports private 5G spectrum deployments across Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Latin America.

"Critical infrastructure operators are increasingly challenged to deploy secure, high-performance connectivity in remote and difficult environments," said Mathi Gurusamy, chief strategy officer at Lantronix. "Our collaboration with Cherry & White combines Lantronix's ruggedized industrial gateways with their Rapid Wi-Fi technology to create a powerful, easy-to-deploy platform."

David Bayley, chief operating officer at Cherry & White, stated the integration enables organizations to deploy critical communications infrastructure faster and at lower cost.

Lantronix provides Edge AI and Industrial IoT solutions, serving markets including smart cities, enterprise IT and unmanned systems. Cherry & White has over 30 years of experience serving UK's Critical National Infrastructure, utilities, defense and transport sectors.
