Optex Systems Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: OPXS) announced it received a $1.25 million contract from the U.S. Government for laser protection filters supporting night vision goggle systems. The company said deliveries will begin in the third quarter of fiscal 2027 through the first quarter of fiscal 2028.

The order represents a delivery order release against the company's existing five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with the U.S. Government. Bill Bates, general manager of AOC, said the company's delivery and quality performance on this program has contributed to new delivery order releases.

With this order, Optex reported its current backlog exceeds $32.5 million. The Richardson, Texas-based company manufactures optical sighting systems and assemblies primarily for Department of Defense applications.

Optex products are installed on various U.S. military vehicles including Abrams and Bradley fighting vehicles, Light Armored and Armored Security Vehicles, and the Stryker family of vehicles. The company also produces periscope configurations, rifle and surveillance sights, and night vision optical assemblies.

Founded in 1987, Optex is ISO 9001:2015 certified and delivers products directly to military services and prime contractors.
