June 9, 2026 4:14 PM

The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) announced that its board of directors appointed Joe Park as a new board member, effective June 29, 2026. The appointment was made upon recommendation from the company's Governance Committee.

Park will serve on the board's Audit and Finance and Risk Management Committees. He currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Digital and Information Officer at State Farm, where he oversees technology, data, and innovation functions.

Park brings over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, technology strategy, and innovation across consumer and service organizations. Before joining State Farm, he held senior leadership positions at Yum! Brands, including Chief Digital and Technology Officer and President of Byte by Yum!, an AI-driven restaurant technology platform. His previous roles at Yum! also included Chief Digital and Technology Officer for Pizza Hut Global and Chief Innovation Officer. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Associate Digital Experience and Enterprise Architecture at Walmart.

The board determined that Park qualifies as an independent director under New York Stock Exchange listing standards. The company stated there are no arrangements or understandings between Park and other parties related to his selection, and no transactions requiring disclosure under securities regulations.

Park will receive compensation according to Hershey's non-employee director compensation program, as detailed in the company's proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 25, 2026.
