Compass Group Canada announced that Gaétan de L'Hermite has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Compass Group Canada & ESS North America. De L'Hermite will succeed Saajid Khan, who will transition to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Bon Appétit Management Company within Compass Group North America.

The leadership transition will occur over the summer, with Khan remaining involved to ensure continuity for clients and employees. De L'Hermite will formally assume his new role in the fall when Khan begins leading Bon Appétit.

De L'Hermite brings more than 22 years of international experience within Compass Group, most recently serving as CEO of Compass Group APAC, which includes Australia. He previously held CEO positions at Compass Group France and Managing Director roles at Compass Group Ireland, along with other senior leadership positions across the organization.

Under Khan's leadership, Compass Group Canada & ESS North America reached more than $2 billion in revenue and established market positions across multiple sectors. The company operates over 10,000 locations nationwide with more than 30,000 associates, providing foodservice and support services across sectors including sports venues, schools, hospitals, and remote camps.
