Arista Networks launches 1.6Terabit 7060XE7 series for AI infrastructure
Arista Networks (NYSE: ANET) announced the 7060XE7 Series, a portfolio of 1.6 terabit networking platforms designed for rack-scale AI infrastructure. The switches are engineered to support AI workloads scaling from thousands to hundreds of thousands of XPUs.
The 7060XE7 Series includes four configurations: two air-cooled systems (7060XE7-64PS and 7060XE7-64PRS) in 4RU form factors, one liquid-cooled platform (7060XE7-64PRS-RV3-L) in 2OU design utilizing 224G SerDes, and one air-cooled system (7060XE7-128PE) providing 128 800G ports in 4RU design using 100G SerDes.
The platforms utilize Linear Pluggable Optics technology, which reduces interconnect power consumption by approximately 60%. Each system provides 100 terabits per second bandwidth and 1.6 terabits per second throughput across ports.
Meta, Microsoft, and Oracle provided statements supporting the technology. "Arista's 1.6T platforms and liquid-cooled designs align with our focus on open, scalable AI fabrics," said Gaya Nagarajan, Vice President of Infrastructure at Meta.
The series features partnerships with AMD and Broadcom for silicon components. Broadcom's Tomahawk 6 silicon powers the switches, while AMD collaborates on compute silicon and network interface cards.
The platforms support both Arista EOS and open Network Operating Systems. Software features include Dynamic Load Balancing, Cluster Load Balancing, Multipath Reliable Connection support, and congestion management capabilities.
Availability timeline shows the 7060XE7-64PS/PRS air-cooled systems launching in Q4 2026, while the liquid-cooled 7060XE7-64PRS-RV3-L and 7060XE7-128PE models will be available in Q1 2027, according to the company's press release.
