Bayer names new consumer health division leaders to accelerate growth
Bayer announced leadership changes within its Consumer Health division, appointing new executives to key positions as part of its strategy to accelerate growth and enhance decision-making speed.
The German pharmaceutical and chemical company appointed Samantha Avivi as global Chief Marketing Officer for Consumer Health, where she will lead global brand building, marketing, and consumer strategy from Whippany, New Jersey.
Analia de la Fuente was named global Chief Data Officer for Consumer Health, tasked with leading insights and analytics globally from Basel, Switzerland. David Tomasi was appointed global Chief Commercial Officer for Consumer Health, overseeing global commercial operations and business performance across all markets from Whippany, New Jersey.
Trevor Thrun was named President of U.S. Consumer Health, Bayer's largest Consumer Health market. Thrun previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the U.S. Upper Respiratory category and will be based in Whippany, New Jersey.
All four executives join or remain on Bayer's Consumer Health Leadership Team. Tomasi previously served as President of U.S. Consumer Health before his promotion to the global commercial role.
"These leadership changes mark an important step in strengthening our ability to best serve our consumers and customers in a dynamic marketplace," said Julio Triana, Member of the Bayer Board of Management and President Consumer Health.
The appointments are part of Bayer's Road to Billions strategy, which aims to help billions of people live healthier lives. The company reported sales of €45.6 billion in fiscal 2025 and employed approximately 88,000 people globally.
