Brown & Brown appoints Corey Lewis as retail global head of tax insurance
Brown & Brown Inc. (NYSE: BRO) appointed Corey Lewis as retail global head of tax insurance to strengthen its private equity and M&A services practice, the insurance brokerage firm announced.
Lewis, who will be based in New York, joins from Aon where he served as managing director and member of the North America Transaction Solutions Operating Committee. He will report to Neil Krauter and lead the expansion of Brown & Brown's transactional tax capabilities globally.
In the newly established role, Lewis will build and lead a team focused on delivering transactional tax solutions for clients navigating mergers and acquisitions, tax exposures, transaction structures, and the tax credit landscape.
"Corey brings deep specialization, entrepreneurial leadership, and a strong track record of building market-leading solutions that deliver meaningful value to customers," said Neil Krauter, senior leader within the company's private equity and M&A services practice.
Throughout his career, Lewis has been recognized as an industry leader in tax transactional risk solutions. He has been featured in industry publications and speaks at conferences focused on tax insurance and transaction trends. Risk & Insurance magazine has recognized him multiple times as both a Power Broker and Rising Star.
Brown & Brown operates in more than 700 locations globally with approximately 23,000 professionals. The Daytona Beach, Florida-based company has provided insurance brokerage services since 1939.
