Faraday Future delivers robot to Los Angeles dental group
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) delivered its Master humanoid robot to Wonderful Life Dental Group Los Angeles, marking the company's first deployment of its robots in a healthcare setting, according to a company statement.
The robot will handle front-desk functions including patient check-in, appointment lookup, reception assistance and wayfinding guidance. The company stated the robot will avoid clinical or medical procedure areas.
The Master robot can communicate in more than 50 languages, according to Faraday Future. Dr. Jack Y. Pai, owner of Wonderful Life Dental Group, said he wanted the technology to eliminate office inefficiencies and help guide patients.
Faraday Future stated this delivery supports its confidence in achieving shipment targets of 200 units in the first delivery season and 1,500 units for the full year. The company plans to deploy robots in education, security, inspection, reception, guidance and healthcare applications.
The California-based company describes itself as an embodied AI ecosystem company that focuses on humanoid and bionic robots, as well as automotive-focused robots. Founded in 2014, Faraday Future operates through what it calls a "device, data, AI brain and open-source platform" ecosystem.
