Walmart adds Subway delivery through its app in six states

June 4, 2026 5:00 PM

Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ: WMT) launched delivery of Subway meals through its app and website in select locations across six states, marking the retailer's first restaurant integration within its Express Delivery service.

The service began this month in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas, with plans to expand to approximately 1,400 locations by the end of summer. Customers can order Subway meals for delivery in 30 minutes or less, either separately or alongside grocery and household items.

Subway pricing will match in-restaurant menus, with customers paying Walmart's flat Express Delivery fee. The service allows customers to customize meals and browse the full Subway menu through the Walmart platform.

"The future of retail is about bringing more of customers' everyday needs into a single, seamless experience," said Tracy Poulliot, EVP eCommerce and Marketing at Walmart U.S.

Subway operates restaurants in Walmart stores through a partnership that began in 2004. The sandwich chain is Walmart's largest in-store restaurant tenant, serving millions of shared customers across the retailer's locations.

"The integration of Subway delivery into the Walmart app and Walmart.com is a natural evolution of our 20-year relationship built on a shared commitment to value, freshness and everyday convenience," said Damien Harmon, President of Subway North America.

Customers in eligible areas will see the Subway ordering option based on addresses associated with their Walmart accounts. The service allows orders to be combined with other Walmart Express Delivery items for a single delivery.
