iPower Inc. (NASDAQ: IPW) completed a $1 million purchase of USDai tokens as part of its AI infrastructure investment strategy, the company announced.

The Rancho Cucamonga-based company plans to stake the acquired USDai into sUSDai, which is USD.AI's yield-bearing token. This purchase represents the initial portion of iPower's commitment to invest up to $3 million in the USD.AI ecosystem.

USD.AI operates as a digital asset framework designed to connect capital providers with AI infrastructure financing opportunities. The platform has attracted institutional investment, including a $4 million investment by Bullish (NYSE: BLSH) and backing from Coinbase Ventures for Permian Labs, USD.AI's developer.

"We believe AI infrastructure financing is becoming an important investment category as demand for compute capacity, data centers and related infrastructure continues to grow," said Lawrence Tan, iPower's chief executive officer.

iPower stated it will continue evaluating opportunities across the AI infrastructure sector, including digital assets, financing platforms and infrastructure-related investments aligned with its strategic objectives.

The company describes itself as executing a strategy at the intersection of AI infrastructure and commerce, building on its e-commerce operations and technology platform. iPower is expanding into AI infrastructure investments and related financing ecosystems through targeted investments in digital assets and infrastructure financing protocols.
