T-Mobile launches AI network tech for high-demand live events

June 4, 2026 9:20 AM

T-Mobile US Inc. (NASDAQ: TMUS) announced the launch of Dynamic CX, an artificial intelligence-powered network optimization capability designed to manage surging demand during large-scale live events and gatherings.

The technology builds on T-Mobile's existing Self-Organizing Network technology and uses AI to identify potential mass gatherings by analyzing publicly available event information, schedules and online activity. Dynamic CX prepares the network in advance and monitors conditions around event venues as crowds move and connect throughout events.

"T-Mobile has decades of experience supporting America's connectivity during some of the world's largest events, and we're constantly evolving how the network responds to moments of high demand," said John Saw, Chief Technology Officer at T-Mobile. "With Dynamic CX, we're using AI to help the network prepare ahead of large-scale events and adapt in real time as crowds move and demand changes."

The capability launches as T-Mobile prepares for a major global soccer tournament hosted across the United States this summer. The company has expanded network capacity and operational support across stadiums, fan zones, airports, transit hubs and surrounding infrastructure throughout the tournament host cities.

Host cities include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, the New York/New Jersey region, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle. T-Mobile is also offering eSIM-based connectivity options for international visitors with compatible devices.

The company's preparations include coordination with public safety agencies, support for priority communications capabilities, and staging deployable network assets in host markets. T-Mobile teams are also maintaining heightened cybersecurity vigilance across critical infrastructure and event-related network operations.

A recent independent analysis from Opensignal found T-Mobile led across key mobile experience metrics in the U.S. host cities from February through May, earning 19 outright wins and 19 joint wins across 11 markets.
