GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) signed an agreement with Powerica Limited to supply 28 of its 3.8 MW onshore wind turbines for a 100 MW wind farm project in Gujarat, India, according to a company statement.

The Botad Wind Farm project represents the first deployment of GE Vernova's 3.8 MW turbine in the Indian market. Powerica obtained the project through a competitive auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. Turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The agreement includes turbine supply and installation services. This marks the fourth wind farm project collaboration between GE Vernova and Powerica.

GE Vernova received certification from India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and inclusion on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbines, a requirement for wind turbine manufacturers operating in India's market.

The turbines will be manufactured at GE Vernova's facility in Pune, India. The company states the facility can support up to 1,500 MW of annual production capacity when operating at full capacity.

India has established a target of 500 GW of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030, which includes 100 GW from wind power. GE Vernova's Wind business exceeded 5 GW of installed capacity in India in 2025.

The 3.8 MW turbine features a 30-year operational life and includes digital blade certification technology. GE Vernova's operations in India include manufacturing facilities in Pune and Vadodara, along with a technology center in Bengaluru.
