Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (NYSE: HIMS) announced the appointment of Dr. Anant Vinjamoori as Chief Medical Officer of the Hims brand. The appointment was disclosed in a company statement.

Dr. Vinjamoori brings over a decade of experience in internal medicine, primary care, and longevity medicine. He previously held positions at health technology companies Virta Health and Modern Age, where he led product and medical teams. He founded Next Generation Medicine, which provides medical education and AI technology for longevity medicine practices.

The new chief medical officer holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has served as an advisor to wellness companies including Superpower and Midi Health and has authored peer-reviewed publications.

In his new role, Dr. Vinjamoori will provide clinical guidance for the Hims brand across sexual health, hormone health, dermatology, weight loss, and mental health categories. The company indicated he will also focus on emerging areas including longevity medicine and peptide therapy.

Dr. Vinjamoori will join the medical team led by Global Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pat Carroll. According to the company, its medical leadership team has more than 100 years of combined experience across various healthcare specialties.
