June 4, 2026 8:33 AM

Lakeland Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: LAKE) received notification of an intended award to supply firefighter personal protective equipment under the National Fire Chiefs Council framework in the United Kingdom, the company announced.

The framework has a total potential value of £220 million over seven years across all awarded suppliers. Lakeland is one of seven companies selected to participate in the program, which supports fire and rescue services throughout the UK.

The award covers structural turnout gear, firefighter hoods and gloves under Lakeland's Eagle brand, as well as firefighter boots under the Jolly brand. No minimum purchase volumes are guaranteed under the framework, and suppliers will compete for individual contracts with fire and rescue services during the agreement term.

The award remains subject to final contract execution and other customary conditions. Lakeland expects to participate in onboarding activities following finalization of the framework agreement.

"Securing an intended award in turnout gear, hoods, gloves and boots underscores the value of our multi-brand strategy and the long-term investments we have made to deliver head-to-toe protection for first responders," said Jim Jenkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lakeland Fire + Safety.

The evaluation process assessed quality, technical compliance, innovation, site operations and pricing. Eagle achieved full technical compliance and demonstrated performance in logistics, supply chain resilience and order fulfillment, according to the company.

Lakeland manufactures protective clothing and equipment for industrial and first responder markets. The company sells products globally through in-house sales teams and authorized distributors to customers including fire departments, law enforcement agencies and industrial companies.
