Paramount and UFC extend partnership to Canada starting 2027
Paramount, a Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY), and UFC announced an expanded media rights partnership that will make Paramount+ the exclusive home of UFC numbered event main cards in Canada beginning in 2027.
The six-year agreement provides Paramount+ subscribers in Canada with exclusive access to all 13 UFC numbered event main cards at no additional cost. UFC numbered events, previously known as pay-per-views, typically feature championship bouts and the organization's biggest stars.
The partnership builds on Paramount's seven-year, multi-territory UFC media rights deal announced in 2025, which covers North America, Latin America and Australia with varying content offerings across regions.
"Beginning in 2027, Paramount+ subscribers in Canada will get every UFC Numbered Event main card live, at no additional cost," said UFC President and CEO Dana White.
Rodrigo Mazón, Paramount+'s Head of Direct-To-Consumer in Latin America and Canada, said the expansion allows the streaming service to serve mixed martial arts audiences while reinforcing its focus on premium live sports content.
UFC has held 37 events across 11 Canadian cities since debuting in the country with UFC 83 in 2008. The organization produces more than 40 live events annually and distributes programming to approximately 1 billion broadcast and digital households across 210 countries and territories.
Paramount reported that UFC's debut on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Latin America earlier this year was the service's largest exclusive live event. The company stated that over 10 million households have watched more than 100 million hours of UFC programming on the platform.
UFC is part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO) and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
