CleanSpark appoints finance executive, reports May bitcoin output

CleanSpark Inc. (NASDAQ: CLSK) appointed Ruben Sahakyan as Senior Vice President of Finance and reported producing 671 bitcoins in May 2026, according to the company's monthly operational update.



Sahakyan joins CleanSpark from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Digital Assets & Infrastructure Investment Banking. The company stated he has over 15 years of experience and more than $20 billion in advisory transactions across digital assets, infrastructure, and fintech.



The Las Vegas-based data center developer reported an operational hashrate of 50.0 EH/s as of May 31, with an average operating hashrate of 46.2 EH/s during the month. The company's deployed fleet consisted of 224,473 miners as of month-end.



CleanSpark produced an average of 21.66 bitcoins daily in May, with peak single-day production reaching 23.16 bitcoins. For calendar year 2026, the company has produced 3,110 bitcoins.



The company sold 404 bitcoins at spot prices and 250 bitcoins through call option exercises during May, at an average price of $79,934 per bitcoin. CleanSpark held 13,470 bitcoins as of May 31, compared to 13,453 at the end of April.



The company controls 1.8 gigawatts of power under contract and utilized 808 megawatts during the reporting period. Of its total bitcoin holdings, 1,560 bitcoins were posted as collateral or receivable related to derivative transactions.
