Dare Bioscience launches Flora Sync LF5 vaginal probiotic capsules

June 4, 2026 8:02 AM

Daré Bioscience Inc. (NASDAQ: DARE) announced the commercial launch of Flora Sync LF5, a vaginal probiotic capsule designed to restore microbiome balance. The company expects to generate its first direct consumer product revenue in June 2026.

Flora Sync LF5 contains Limosilactobacillus fermentum LF5, a probiotic strain isolated from the vaginal microbiome of healthy women. The product will be priced at $49 per box containing six capsules and is designed as a three-day treatment routine.

"Flora Sync LF5 was developed specifically for vaginal health, not gut health," said Sabrina Martucci Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Daré Bioscience. "This upcoming launch marks an important milestone for Daré as it represents the company's first consumer health product launch."

The product is manufactured by Probiotical S.p.A. under current Good Manufacturing Practices standards. Clinical research published in Frontiers in Microbiology in 2024 showed that 96% of women achieved vaginal microbiome balance within three days in a randomized controlled trial of 100 women.

The launch marks Daré's transition from a development-stage biotech company to one with revenue-generating products. The company is offering a limited-time promotion of 30% off plus free shipping for customers who register for launch updates.

Daré is also advancing other women's health products, including a Phase 2 clinical study of DARE-HPV for persistent high-risk human papillomavirus infection, funded by a $10 million contract from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health. The company reported positive interim results from its Phase 3 study of Ovaprene, a hormone-free intravaginal contraceptive.
