June 4, 2026 8:02 AM

Quanterix Corporation (NASDAQ: QTRX) appointed Geoff Albrecht as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Diagnostics, the company announced. Albrecht will lead the diagnostics strategy starting with Alzheimer's disease diagnostics and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Everett Cunningham.

Albrecht brings more than 25 years of commercial leadership experience from Quest Diagnostics, where he most recently served as Regional Vice President for the Northeast U.S. region with profit and loss responsibility for approximately $2.9 billion in revenue. During his tenure at Quest, he held multiple senior leadership positions including Manager, Director of Sales, and Vice President of the North Region.

"Geoff's appointment marks a pivotal moment in Quanterix's evolution," said Cunningham. "We are making our Diagnostics business a fundamental pillar of our commercial strategy and future growth trajectory."

The appointment signals Quanterix's commitment to expanding its diagnostics business into what the company describes as a key component of its growth strategy. Albrecht will develop infrastructure and operational frameworks to scale the diagnostics portfolio.

Albrecht's experience includes strategic partnerships with health systems, health plans, physician outreach organizations, and employer groups. He previously served as a board member for UPMC and UMass joint venture partnerships and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University.

Quanterix develops ultra-sensitive biomarker detection technology and operates its proprietary Simoa technology platform. The company recently acquired Akoya Biosciences in 2025, adding multiplexed tissue imaging capabilities to its portfolio along with 1,450 installed instruments.
