Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has developed the Joint Management Tool (JMT) for the Defense Information Systems Agency and U.S. Space Command to enhance satellite communications access for military operations.

The cloud-based platform provides real-time visibility into global SATCOM resources and consolidates service requests across combatant commands, military services and defense agencies. The tool replaces a legacy system that DISA first deployed in 2004.

According to the company, the JMT's automated dashboard could reduce command-level reporting and analysis time by up to 85%, potentially saving hundreds of hours annually. The system was developed and deployed within one year.

"The JMT brings clarity to complex satellite communications, giving operators faster, more reliable access to the data they need to make decisions," said Paul Welch, senior vice president of digital modernization at Leidos.

The tool uses telecommunications commercial-off-the-shelf modules and features modular architecture designed to enable rapid updates and improved scalability. This approach aligns with the Pentagon's adoption of commercial software solutions.

Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, employs 50,000 people globally and reported annual revenues of approximately $17.2 billion for the fiscal year ended January 2, 2026.
