SD Government, a subsidiary of Gogo Inc. (NASDAQ: GOGO), secured a multi-year contract worth $7.5 million from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to provide satellite communications services for NOAA's hurricane hunter aircraft fleet.

The blanket purchase agreement supports the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center, which operates hurricane hunter aircraft including Lockheed Martin WP-3D planes. The contract covers L-Band satellite communications, ground infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions delivered through Gogo's data center in Melbourne, Florida.

"NOAA is a trusted global leader in airborne research, offering life-saving services to the U.S. and other nations," said Ben Massey, Senior Vice President of Government Sales at Gogo. "We're proud to support the delivery of vital data from the storm's eye to decision-makers, utilizing our robust and reliable networks and infrastructure."

SD Government operates as Gogo's division serving military and government markets, providing satellite connectivity services for land and airborne applications.
