VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) announced the launch of AI Experts, the first addition to its NITRO AI portfolio of artificial intelligence-driven capabilities. The company said AI Experts provide product-specific intelligence integrated directly into VIAVI platforms to deliver automated workflows and diagnostic precision for field and laboratory operations.

The AI Experts contain task-specific execution units called "agents" that automate configuration, analysis, diagnostics and reporting within their functional domains, according to the company's statement.

VIAVI introduced three initial AI Expert products. The OneAdvisor 800 Wireless AI Expert provides contextual guidance based on wireless standards, industry practices, instrument functionality and signal behavior. The TM500 AI Expert and TeraVM AI Expert assist engineers with test setup, configuration, diagnostic triage and real-time awareness of test topologies.

"At every stage of network validation, engineers are being asked to deliver more, faster and with greater precision," said Ian Langley, Senior Vice President, Wireless, Security and Applications Business Unit at VIAVI. "AI Experts put proven, product-specific intelligence directly into their workflows on the instrument in the field and inside the lab, helping shorten validation times and deliver outcomes faster."

The AI Experts for OneAdvisor 800 Wireless, TM500 and TeraVM are currently available. VIAVI stated that additional AI Experts across its broader product portfolio will be introduced over time.

VIAVI describes itself as a provider of test and measurement and optical technologies for infrastructure including data centers, communication networks, and military and aerospace communications systems.
