DXC Technology partners with If to modernize Nordic operations
DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) announced a multi-year agreement with If Skadeförsäkring AB to modernize and operate the Nordic insurer's technology infrastructure using DXC OASIS platform. If is the largest property and casualty insurer in the Nordic region.
The partnership will support If's technology consolidation following its acquisition of Topdanmark, a Danish insurance company. DXC will modernize and operate thousands of compute resources across mainframe, data center and Microsoft Azure hybrid cloud environments spanning Finland, Sweden, Denmark and the Baltic states.
Under the agreement, DXC will consolidate disparate mainframe and private cloud environments into Denmark-based data centers and establish hybrid cloud orchestration with Microsoft Azure. The DXC OASIS platform will provide unified orchestration across If's technology estate and includes artificial intelligence capabilities for monitoring and operational optimization.
"Our partnership with DXC Technology enables us to simplify and modernise our infrastructure, consolidate our IT landscape and leverage automation and AI to enhance quality and efficiency," said Hanna Elomaa, Head of IT Operations at If Skadeförsäkring AB.
The technology modernization aims to reduce operational complexity and improve performance across If's infrastructure environment as the company integrates Topdanmark's operations. DXC OASIS will coordinate infrastructure operations across multiple vendors and environments to streamline workflows and automate processes.
Peter Skarendal, Managing Director of DXC Sweden, stated the platform will help If "simplify and orchestrate its mainframe, data center and cloud environments across multiple vendors as one integrated operation."
The information is based on a company press release.
