Calix receives FCC approval for full gateway appliance portfolio

June 3, 2026 1:30 PM

Calix Inc. (NYSE: CALX) announced that the Federal Communications Commission has granted conditional approval for all of its gateway appliances through a phased approval process. The latest FCC action, combined with prior authorizations, covers the company's complete portfolio of gateway products.

The conditional approval exempts Calix gateway appliances from the FCC's Covered List and removes associated restrictions on importation, sale, and deployment. Service providers can continue to deploy Calix GigaSpire and GigaPro gateway appliances integrated with the company's Calix One platform.

Existing FCC equipment authorizations remain valid, and Calix will continue providing software, security, and firmware updates to its installed base. The company stated it will maintain compliance with the FCC's approval process as its gateway appliance portfolio expands.

The approval allows Calix products to meet regulatory requirements under federal funding programs including Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD). The company maintains U.S. manufacturing operations to support supply chain compliance requirements.

"This approval underscores our ongoing commitment to security and enables us to continue the seamless delivery of agentic capabilities through the AI-native Calix One platform," said John Durocher, chief operating officer at Calix.

The press release noted that the approval permits continued deployment of Calix gateway products across any market, giving service providers confidence to order and support the equipment without interruption.
