June 3, 2026 8:55 AM

CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) appointed Dr. Bartley Richardson as Chief AI and Autonomous Systems Officer, according to a company statement. Richardson will lead the cybersecurity company's AI strategy and development of autonomous security systems.

Richardson previously worked at NVIDIA, where he led engineering for agentic AI, cybersecurity AI, and AI infrastructure. At NVIDIA, he developed foundational technologies for AI agents, including the NeMo Agent Toolkit and AI-Q research assistant.

In his new role, Richardson will oversee CrowdStrike's AI initiatives, including its Charlotte AI platform and AI Detection and Response capabilities. The company stated he will focus on advancing autonomous security operations and developing what it calls "Security AGI."

"CrowdStrike pioneered AI-native cybersecurity. Our data advantage is structural; no one else has the sensors, the telemetry, the expert validation, and the closed-loop system to stop breaches at machine speed," said George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike.

Richardson said cybersecurity represents a key challenge in the AI era, requiring real-time decision-making capabilities. He stated that CrowdStrike's platform and data position the company to deliver advanced security solutions combining machine and human intelligence.

CrowdStrike operates a cloud-native cybersecurity platform that processes data from customer environments and threat intelligence. The company's Falcon platform provides endpoint protection, threat detection, and security monitoring services.
