Powerus and Swarmer sign partnership to test autonomous system integration

June 3, 2026 8:03 AM

Powerus and Swarmer Inc. (NASDAQ: SWMR) signed a memorandum of understanding to explore integrating Swarmer's coordination software with Powerus air and maritime autonomous systems, according to a company statement.

The collaboration will evaluate technical and operational feasibility for defense, counter-drone, border security, and critical infrastructure missions. The agreement establishes a framework for technical exchanges and testing but does not commit either company to production or financial obligations.

Under the MOU, the companies plan to assess interoperability between Swarmer's multi-vehicle coordination platform and Powerus platforms, including heavy-lift vertical takeoff and landing aircraft and unmanned surface vessels developed through its PowerAir and PowerSea divisions.

The evaluation may include coordinated multi-drone operations, swarming capabilities, and distributed mission execution across different unmanned systems. The companies will also examine manufacturing feasibility using Powerus's U.S.-based production facilities.

"Their software has been proven in more than 100,000 combat missions," said Brett Velicovich, President of Powerus, referring to Swarmer's deployment experience in Ukraine.

Alex Fink, President and U.S. CEO of Swarmer, said the company sees demand for combat-proven technology in the U.S. market. Swarmer's software has been deployed in Ukraine since April 2024.

Powerus operates through subsidiaries that develop autonomous systems for high-risk environments. The company previously announced a proposed merger with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: PUSA), which remains subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

Swarmer specializes in vendor-agnostic software that enables operators to control multiple autonomous platforms simultaneously. The Austin-based company maintains operations in Ukraine, Poland, and Estonia.
