Canterra Minerals reports drill results from Buchans Project

June 3, 2026 6:00 AM

Canterra Minerals Corporation (TSXV: CTM) (OTCQB: CTMCF) (FSE: DXZB) reported drill results from its winter program at the Buchans Project in Newfoundland. The company completed eight holes totaling 2,386 meters between February and March 2026.

The drilling program targeted the Lundberg deposit and Two Level zone, along with geophysical anomalies in the West Clementine area. Hole H-26-3563 intersected 1.65 meters of 4.34% copper equivalent (CuEq) at the Two Level horizon, confirming a semi-massive sulphide lens.

At the Lundberg deposit, hole H-26-3561 returned 57.15 meters of 0.57% CuEq, including 11 meters of 1.32% CuEq. This intersection occurred in the northeastern portion where mineralization begins less than 20 meters below surface. Hole H-26-3562 intersected 3.05 meters of 2.14% CuEq, supporting lateral continuity of copper-rich mineralization.

Additional Lundberg holes H-26-3559 and H-26-3560 returned 44.5 meters of 0.34% CuEq and 51 meters of 0.17% CuEq respectively.

The company tested large-scale geophysical anomalies at West Clementine with two deep holes totaling over 1,300 meters. Two anomalies were explained by weakly altered rocks and fault structures, while a third remains untested after drilling was halted due to early spring conditions.

Canterra plans Phase 2 drilling for Q3 2026 to extend the Lundberg deposit and test additional targets. The company's properties are located in the Central Newfoundland Mining District near the former Buchans Mine.
