June 2, 2026 4:15 PM

Airgain, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRG) announced the addition of MegaFi 2 and MegaGo 2 routers to its AirgainConnect portfolio, expanding connectivity solutions for public safety agencies and utilities through FirstNet, Built with AT&T.

The new routers utilize High Power User Equipment (HPUE) technology and transmit with six times the power on Band 14, spectrum designated by the government for public safety communications on FirstNet. The enhanced transmission power aims to support communications in remote areas and through signal-blocking materials including glass, concrete and metal.

Both solutions have received FirstNet Trusted certification, meeting cybersecurity and network connectivity requirements that exceed commercial standards for public safety operations. The certification indicates compliance with strict operational requirements for public safety agencies.

The MegaFi 2 and MegaGo 2 routers join Airgain's existing AirgainConnect portfolio, which includes AirgainConnect Fleet and Go-Kit Pro products. The expanded portfolio provides vehicle, fixed, portable, and rapid-response connectivity options for organizations operating in challenging coverage environments.

"First responders depend on reliable communications in every environment," said Matt Walsh, AVP of FirstNet and NextGen 9-1-1 Products at AT&T. "Working with organizations like Airgain that are focused on supporting the operational needs of public safety agencies and extending connectivity in challenging coverage areas is essential to helping field teams stay connected when it matters most."

The San Diego-based company's connectivity solutions target public safety agencies, utilities, transportation, energy and field services organizations. Airgain's products feature integrated 5G connectivity, multi-carrier support, ruggedized designs, and flexible deployment options.

Jacob Suen, President and CEO of Airgain, stated that the partnership with FirstNet supports the company's ability to deliver connectivity solutions for demanding field environments, providing public safety agencies and critical infrastructure organizations with additional options for various operational scenarios.
