Docusign launches app for ChatGPT and Codex

June 2, 2026 2:33 PM

Docusign Inc. (NASDAQ: DOCU) announced the availability of its application for OpenAI's ChatGPT and Codex platforms. The app integrates Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform with OpenAI's products, allowing users to create, analyze, and manage agreements through natural language prompts.

The application enables teams to access agreement data and workflows within ChatGPT and Codex. Users can generate agreements, track contract renewals, and review document obligations using conversational commands. The app supports various business functions including legal review, sales contract generation, procurement workflows, HR documentation, and financial agreement analysis.

"Contracts sit at the center of how businesses sell, operate, and grow," said Allan Thygesen, CEO of Docusign. "With our new Docusign app, we're connecting trusted agreement workflows directly into the AI tools that teams use today."

The application is powered by Docusign Iris, the company's AI engine that handles agreement creation and management tasks. The integration allows users to ask questions such as identifying contracts up for renewal, creating vendor agreements, or summarizing key contract obligations.

Specific use cases include legal teams reviewing agreements and surfacing key clauses, sales teams generating contracts and tracking renewals, procurement teams monitoring vendor agreements, HR departments streamlining onboarding processes, and finance teams gaining visibility into contractual commitments.

The Docusign app is available globally in English through ChatGPT. The company states it serves over 1.8 million customers and more than one billion people across 180 countries.
