OpenAI integrates ZoomInfo data into Codex for Work platform

June 2, 2026 1:41 PM

OpenAI announced the native integration of ZoomInfo (NASDAQ: GTM) into its Codex for Work platform, enabling sales and marketing teams to access business-to-business data without switching applications.

The integration allows users to perform go-to-market tasks using natural language commands within Codex. Available functions include account research, contact list building, lead scoring, and competitor analysis using ZoomInfo's database of 100 million companies and 500 million contacts.

Users can request Codex to identify target accounts in specific industries and regions, build contact lists of decision makers, or research companies for outreach opportunities. The system processes these requests through ZoomInfo's GTM.AI platform, which provides continuously updated business intelligence data.

The ZoomInfo app includes pre-built skills for sales development representatives, account executives, and revenue operations analysts. These tools operate on verified data rather than model predictions, according to the company's press release.

GTM.AI serves as ZoomInfo's application programming interface layer for artificial intelligence agents. The platform integrates with multiple systems including Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and Google Agent Development Kit.

The integration maintains existing enterprise security controls, including access permissions, data tracking, and audit logging. ZoomInfo states that approximately 70 percent of business contact data becomes outdated annually, positioning real-time data verification as a key feature of the service.

OpenAI's selection of ZoomInfo extends Codex beyond software development tasks into sales and marketing functions. The integration represents ZoomInfo's strategy to position GTM.AI as a foundational data layer for AI-powered business applications.
