Sanofi partners with Snowflake to build AI agent for sales teams
Sanofi has launched an AI agent called "Concierge for Field" built with Snowflake Cortex AI to assist its global sales representatives in preparing for physician visits, according to an announcement at Snowflake Summit 26.
The AI agent allows sales representatives to generate pre-call plans in seconds through a single conversation interface. The system identifies high-priority physicians based on specialty and prescribing history, reviews past engagement records, and emails complete plans to representatives. Sanofi states this process previously required hours of manual research.
The pharmaceutical company has unified its data on Snowflake's platform (NYSE: SNOW) and is deploying AI agents across research and development, procurement, IT, human resources, and field sales operations. Sanofi is working with AI workflow partner Elementum to build applications that run directly on the Snowflake platform.
"For years, we have been building complex pipelines to move data in and out of expensive software, just to access our own data," said Emmanuel Frenehard, Chief Digital Officer at Sanofi. "With Snowflake and Elementum, we saw a clear path forward. We are building AI directly on our data and reinventing how the company runs, from R&D to manufacturing to commercial."
Snowflake's Forward Deployed Engineers team is working with Sanofi's data and engineering teams to scale these capabilities. The same unified platform already supports Sanofi's research teams in processing real-world clinical data to accelerate drug development analysis.
Sanofi's research teams use the Snowflake platform to process clinical data at scale, which the company says accelerates analysis that informs drug development decisions. The implementation represents a shift from traditional enterprise software approaches to AI workflows running directly on unified data.
