Cisco launches Cloud Control platform for AI-driven IT management
Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) announced Cisco Cloud Control, a unified platform designed to enable human operators and artificial intelligence agents to manage critical IT infrastructure collaboratively. The platform was unveiled at Cisco Live in Las Vegas.
Cisco Cloud Control provides a single management interface that consolidates networking, security, compute, observability, and collaboration systems. The platform allows customers to build applications and agents using natural language and integrates with third-party tools including AWS, Microsoft, ServiceNow, and Google Cloud.
"AI agents reason and act continuously at software speed, and that changes everything about how we scale, manage, and defend our critical infrastructure," said Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer at Cisco. "Cisco Cloud Control is a command center for agentic AI: a platform where your team and your AI agents work together, in the same environment, with the same information, and with humans in control."
The platform includes several key components: cross-domain telemetry that aggregates data across multiple systems, purpose-built AI models including Cisco's Deep Network Model, and autonomous agents capable of identifying and resolving infrastructure issues. The system also features Cisco AI Canvas, a collaborative workspace for real-time issue investigation.
Cisco expanded its Live Protect security feature, which shields products from newly discovered vulnerabilities without requiring system reboots or upgrades. The protection is now available for N9000 series switches and will extend to campus and branch smart switches, followed by secure routers later in 2026.
The company announced new quantum-safe security measures, including quantum-safe secure boot for new infrastructure products and Quantum Ready Assessments to identify assets vulnerable to "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks. Cisco committed to enabling quantum-safe communications across the majority of its core portfolio by December 2026.
Cisco Cloud Control enters controlled availability in the United States, with global availability planned to follow. Additional services including Cisco IQ capabilities and Quantum Ready Assessments are scheduled for global availability in July 2026.
