Beyond Meat launches beverage line Beyond Immerse in New York market

Beyond Meat Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND) launched its first functional beverage line, Beyond Immerse, in the New York metro area through a distribution agreement with Big Geyser. The plant-based protein company will make the sparkling beverages available at more than 26,000 outlets across grocery, drug, convenience, mass merchandiser, club, and foodservice channels.

Beyond Immerse contains 20 grams of plant-based protein from peas, 7 grams of fiber from tapioca, antioxidants, and electrolytes in each 100-calorie serving. The beverage line comes in three flavors: Peach Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, and Cherry Berry. The product earned Clean Label Project Verification and contains non-GMO ingredients with no sugar alcohols, dairy, or whey protein.

"We created Beyond Immerse to deliver the superpowers of plants in a comprehensive system—protein, fiber, antioxidants, and electrolytes—all in one convenient, light, and refreshing beverage," said Ethan Brown, founder and CEO of Beyond Meat.

Professional basketball player Josh Hart joined as a brand ambassador for the launch. "Beyond Immerse gives me everything I need in one can, without the heaviness of a shake," Hart said in a statement provided by the company.

The company previously tested Beyond Immerse through limited direct-to-consumer sales to gather feedback before the retail launch. Beyond Meat plans to host fitness studio activations and active lifestyle events in New York to promote the new product line.
