SciTec wins $5.5M Air Force contract option for data fusion system

June 2, 2026 8:31 AM

SciTec, a subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace (NASDAQ: FLY), received a $5.5 million contract option from the U.S. Department of the Air Force to deliver an operational data fusion system for the Cloud-Based Command and Control program. The option was executed as part of an initial $24 million award granted in 2024 under the Advanced Battle Management System indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract.

SciTec's cloud-based data fusion system processes military and civilian data feeds, combining them with additional sources for command-and-control capabilities. The company's system was selected after a multi-year competition that evaluated multiple industry and government-owned alternatives.

The Cloud-Based Command and Control program serves as a component of the Department of the Air Force Battle Network, which contributes to the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control warfighting system. The battle management system provides situational awareness for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, United States Northern Command, and Pacific Air Forces.

"Supporting the CBC2 mission is a responsibility of the highest order," said Stephen Purcell, Director of SciTec's All Domain Solutions portfolio. "We understand the complexity of the challenge and the vital importance of providing our warfighters with a clear, unified picture of the battlespace."

SciTec, headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace and specializes in defense technologies including AI-enabled defense software and cloud-based processing systems. The company has supported national security missions for more than four decades.
