Gladstone Land elects George Stelljes III to board of directors

Gladstone Land Corporation (NASDAQ: LAND) announced that George "Chip" Stelljes III has been elected to serve as a director, effective June 1, 2026. The appointment expands the company's board from seven to eight directors.



Stelljes has been assigned to the company's Compensation Committee, Ethics, Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee, and Valuation Committee. The company stated his selection was based on more than 25 years of experience in investment analysis, management, and advisory industries.



Stelljes currently serves as managing partner of St. John's Capital LLC, a private equity investment vehicle. From 2001 to 2013, he held senior positions with Gladstone companies, including roles as chief investment officer, president, and director of Gladstone Capital Corporation, Gladstone Investment Corporation, Gladstone Commercial Corporation, and Gladstone Management Corporation.



Prior to his tenure with Gladstone companies, Stelljes spent 23 years in various roles at private equity and venture capital funds including Patriot Capital, Camden Partners, Columbia Capital, and Allied Capital.



He currently chairs the board of directors of Equalize Community Development Fund and serves as an independent director of Oxford Square Capital Corporation. Stelljes previously served as a board member and regional president of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies.



Stelljes holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.



Gladstone Land is a real estate investment trust that owns farmland and farm-related properties across major agricultural markets in the United States. The company operates 144 farms comprising approximately 99,000 acres in 14 states.
