Quantum Cyber N.V. (NASDAQ: QUCY) announced it will assume direct manufacturing responsibility for its licensed drone technology, eliminating third-party supply chain dependency through an amended agreement with BP United Inc.

The companies executed a First Amendment to their May 12, 2026 Intellectual Property License Agreement, which transfers manufacturing control from BP United to Quantum Cyber while maintaining the exclusive perpetual license to BP United's autonomous drone technology portfolio.

Under the revised arrangement, BP United will provide technical assistance and consulting services, including access to manufacturing personnel, technical documentation, and engineering support. Quantum Cyber retains discretion to establish its own manufacturing facilities or engage third-party contract manufacturers.

The West Palm Beach, Florida-based company said the change supports its transition from a technology development platform toward vertical integration as a defense manufacturer. In May 2026, Quantum Cyber announced plans to establish a U.S.-based defense technology manufacturing complex.

Concurrent with the amendment, BP United entered a two-year Voting Agreement to vote all Quantum Cyber shares it holds in favor of proposals recommended by the company's Board of Directors. The agreement includes an irrevocable proxy granted to Quantum Cyber.

"We are not building a licensing company. We are building a manufacturing platform," said Chief Executive Officer David Lazar in a statement.

Quantum Cyber describes itself as assembling an AI-powered autonomous defense platform integrating drone warfare, counter-unmanned aircraft systems, and other defense applications. The company acquires, licenses, and develops autonomous technologies for deployment across air, land, and sea domains.
