Sequans names Norman Brodt as new CFO as Deborah Choate retires

Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) announced that Chief Financial Officer Deborah Choate will retire effective June 30, 2026, after 19 years with the company. Norman Brodt, currently Vice President of Finance, will succeed Choate as CFO upon her retirement.



Choate joined the 5G/4G cellular IoT semiconductor company in 2007 and has served as CFO throughout her tenure. Georges Karam, Chief Executive Officer, said Choate played a role in strengthening the company's financial position and leading strategic initiatives.



"It has been a privilege to serve as CFO of Sequans," Choate said. "I am proud of what we have accomplished and confident in the Company's future."



Brodt has served as Vice President of Finance since January 2025, overseeing financial planning and analysis, process improvement and financial reporting. Before joining Sequans, he held leadership positions at Alcatel Lucent/Nokia, including CFO of Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell and CFO/COO of Alcatel Radio Frequency Systems. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.



"Norman is an accomplished finance leader with a deep understanding of our business and operations," Karam said. "In his current role as VP Finance, he has been instrumental in financial planning, capital allocation and operational improvements."



Brodt said he looks forward to working with the team to drive continued growth and value for shareholders in his new role.



Paris-based Sequans designs 4G/5G cellular technology for Internet of Things applications and RF transceiver solutions. The company was founded in 2003 and operates globally with offices in multiple countries.
