Nubank names Rob Livingston as CFO, replacing Guilherme Lago
Nubank appointed Rob Livingston as Chief Financial Officer effective July 13, replacing Guilherme Lago who will transition to a special advisor role after five years as CFO and seven years with the company.
Livingston brings more than 30 years of financial services experience across North America, Europe and Asia. He joins from Visa where he served as CFO for North America, the company's largest business unit. During his 12-year tenure at Visa, he led Corporate Finance and Investor Relations for Visa Inc., served as CFO for Visa Europe and held leadership roles in China and Canada.
Prior to Visa, Livingston spent 18 years at Capital One in senior leadership positions including President of Capital One Canada and Divisional CFO. He holds a BA in Economics from Yale University.
Lago will support the transition through August 31 and remain as Special Advisor to Nu Holdings' management team and Audit and Risk Committee, focusing on corporate development and strategic matters. Under his tenure as CFO, Nubank expanded from Brazil to Mexico and Colombia and grew to 135 million customers.
"Lago has been a true partner and helped lead the finance organization through Nubank's growth into the leading digital bank in Latin America," said David Velez, founder and CEO of Nubank, in a statement provided by the company.
Nubank will also create a dedicated Chief Financial Officer role for Brazil, completing a global and local finance leadership structure already established in Mexico and Colombia. The appointment for this position will be announced later.
The digital banking platform serves more than 135 million customers across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.
