Oliver Wyman, a management consulting business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), appointed Andrew Bainbridge as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, according to a company statement.

Bainbridge joined the company in 2011 and previously served as Deputy General Counsel for Oliver Wyman and Marsh Management Consulting, overseeing legal and compliance matters across Europe, India, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Marsh, he worked as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in London and held in-house legal positions in venture capital and investment banking.

He replaces Paula McGlarry, who assumed the role of Global Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff. Bainbridge will report jointly to Kate Brennan, General Counsel of Marsh, and Ted Moynihan, President and CEO of Oliver Wyman and Marsh Management Consulting.

"Andrew is a proven leader who has demonstrated the technical legal expertise, commercial acumen, and sound judgment essential for navigating complex global challenges," Brennan said in the statement.

Moynihan noted that Bainbridge "has been an invaluable partner to our leadership team, bringing deep expertise to navigate complex legal, compliance and risk matters."

Marsh reported annual revenue of $27 billion and employs more than 95,000 people globally, operating across 130 countries in risk management, reinsurance, capital advisory, and consulting services.
