ZipRecruiter adds AI automation to candidate outreach feature
ZipRecruiter Inc. (NYSE: ZIP) launched Smart Outreach, an artificial intelligence feature that automates personalized candidate messaging within its Resume Database platform, according to a company statement.
The feature converts job descriptions into customized message sequences sent to candidates and includes automated follow-up capabilities. The system sends up to three messages over time until candidates respond, eliminating manual email composition and tracking for recruiting teams.
"Employers shouldn't have to spend hours drafting follow-ups and chasing candidate responses," said Megan Allen, Chief Product Officer at ZipRecruiter. "Smart Outreach handles that work for them, creating and optimizing messages to candidates so recruiters have more time to focus on what matters: building the relationships that lead to great hires."
ZipRecruiter's Resume Database contains more than 50 million job seekers, based on company data from January 2026. The platform also added productivity tools including direct resume exports to applicant tracking systems through webhook integration, activity badges for identifying new candidates, and a candidate carousel for faster resume review.
The Santa Monica-based employment marketplace cited internal survey data showing more than 80% of job seekers express increased interest in roles when employers initiate contact proactively.
ZipRecruiter operates an online employment marketplace connecting job seekers with employers. The company has maintained the top-rated position for job search applications on iOS and Android platforms for eight consecutive years, according to AppFollow data covering the period from January 2017 to January 2025.
