LifeMD, Inc. (NASDAQ: LFMD) appointed Umesh Sripad as Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement. Sripad will oversee technology strategy, platform transformation, AI implementation, cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and enterprise scalability initiatives.

The telehealth company serves approximately 350,000 patients across 50 states, providing virtual primary care, specialty care, and pharmacy services. Chief Executive Officer Justin Schreiber noted the company's growth from a men's virtual pharmacy platform over the past five years.

Sripad brings more than 20 years of experience in digital modernization and operational transformation. He previously served as Chief Digital and Technology Officer at PetMeds, where he led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across digital commerce, pharmacy technology, and data platforms.

His career includes roles as Chief Product Officer at PureRED, a private equity-backed digital commerce company, and Chief Digital Officer positions at Bed Bath & Beyond and IKEA USA. At IKEA USA, he developed the company's U.S. digital business into what the company describes as a multibillion-dollar platform. He also held executive positions at Overstock.com, CNN, and The Weather Channel.

As part of his employment package, LifeMD will grant Sripad 150,000 restricted stock units under Nasdaq inducement grant rules. The grant includes 75,000 units vesting based on continued service over three years and 75,000 units tied to company performance targets.

Sripad is a Forbes Technology Council member and serves as an advisor to technology organizations. He frequently speaks at industry conferences on digital transformation and AI strategy topics.
