Heeger holds an MD and Master of Healthcare Management from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He completed clinical oncology training at University Hospital Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Center.

The appointment comes as Actinium prepares for data readouts and expanded clinical trials for its pipeline including Actimab-A, ATNM-400, and Iomab-ACT in the second half of 2026.

Actinium develops targeted radiotherapies for cancer treatment, focusing on solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. The company's pipeline includes ATNM-400 for prostate, lung and breast cancers, and Actimab-A for acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome.
