UBS names Houlihan and Hutchens as market executives in Southeast

May 29, 2026 11:12 AM

UBS Wealth Management USA announced two leadership appointments in its Southeast Wealth Management Region, according to a company statement.

John Houlihan was named Market Executive for the South Market, overseeing the firm's Private Wealth Management and Wealth Management businesses in Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Houlihan reports to Julie Fox, Southeast Regional Director, and is based in Atlanta.

Houlihan joined UBS in 2015 and previously served as Regional Market Director for the Northeast. His career in financial services spans more than 30 years, including prior roles at Barclays as Regional Director and at Morgan Stanley, where he began as a financial advisor in 1993 and held various leadership positions including Branch Manager and Complex Director.

The appointment follows the retirement of Greg Achten, a 10-year UBS veteran who previously led the South Market and concluded a 40-year career in wealth management.

Tyler Hutchens was named Market Executive for the Greater Florida/Gulf Coast Market, responsible for overseeing financial advisors in Naples, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Hutchens reports to Fox and is relocating to Naples, Florida.

The appointment is part of UBS's restructuring of its Florida market into two distinct markets: Greater Florida/Gulf Coast and South Florida, which the company announced earlier this month.

Hutchens most recently served as Executive Director and Senior Market Director at UBS, overseeing offices in Boulder and Denver. He joined UBS in 2015 after holding senior leadership roles with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The Southeast Region encompasses wealth centers including Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Charlotte, Charleston, Nashville, Atlanta, Miami, Palm Beach, Naples, and Tampa.
