Church & Dwight Co. (NYSE: CHD) completed the acquisition of Miss Mouth's Messy Eater stain remover brand for approximately $325 million, the company announced. The transaction closed on May 28.

Miss Mouth's reported net sales of approximately $80 million and EBITDA of $28 million for the twelve months ending December 31, 2025. The brand specializes in non-toxic stain removal products for multiple surfaces.

"Strong online sales have catapulted the brand, becoming the #1 stain remover brand on Amazon," said Rick Dierker, Church & Dwight's Chief Executive Officer. He noted that customer loyalty and repeat usage have driven rapid growth, with the brand expanding to multiple U.S. retailers in the first half of 2026.

The acquired brand targets millennial and Gen Z parents seeking eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Church & Dwight expects Miss Mouth's net sales to grow at double-digit rates over the next couple of years as distribution expands and household penetration increases.

Currently, the brand's household penetration sits in the low single digits compared to nearly 50% for the broader stain remover category. The company distributes products through e-commerce platforms and mass retail channels.

Church & Dwight expects the acquisition to be neutral to 2026 earnings per share, including transition costs, acquisition expenses, interest costs, and additional marketing investments. The deal is projected to be accretive to cash earnings in 2027.

The Ewing, New Jersey-based company manufactures personal care and household products under brands including ARM & HAMMER, OXICLEAN, and TROJAN. Proskauer Rose LLP served as legal advisor to Church & Dwight for the transaction.
