Comscore names Matt McLaughlin as new chief executive officer

May 28, 2026 4:30 PM

Comscore Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) appointed Matt McLaughlin as chief executive officer, effective immediately, the company announced. Jon Carpenter will transition from his CEO role to serve as senior advisor to the board of directors and CEO through October 2026.

McLaughlin previously served as chief operating officer of DoubleVerify, where he managed product, engineering and sales operations and oversaw more than half of the company's workforce. He currently sits on Comscore's board of directors and holds a significant equity stake in the company.

Stuart Frankel will join Comscore's board of directors, filling the seat previously held by Carpenter. Frankel serves as managing director of 10X CEO, an advisory firm for technology company CEOs. He previously co-founded and led Narrative Science, a generative artificial intelligence company acquired by Salesforce in 2021, and held a senior leadership position at DoubleClick before its acquisition by Google.

During his tenure as CEO and previously as chief financial officer, Carpenter led efforts to restructure Comscore's capital structure and operations. The company divested Comscore Movies and eliminated $40 million in senior debt on May 27, 2026.

David Kline, chairman of Comscore's board, said McLaughlin brings strategic insight and operational leadership to the digital advertising and measurement sector. McLaughlin stated he looks forward to driving growth and executing strategic priorities.

Comscore will host an investor conference call at 5:00 p.m. ET on June 10, 2026, where McLaughlin and management will discuss strategic priorities and the company's 2026 outlook. The call will be accessible via live audio webcast at the company's investor relations website.

The information is based on a company press release.
